Personalized items definitely take a bit longer. I ordered an engraved necklace and it was like 2-3 weeks before it even shipped. Plan for that.

Yeah, it's not super fast. I'd say give it at least 2-3 weeks for production before it even gets mailed out. Shipping to NY could add another week or so, just to be safe.

How do these magnetic necklaces actually work? Is it just a weak magnet or strong enough to stay together?

They have little magnets embedded in them. They're strong enough to click together and hold if you're close, but not like super industrial strength. They won't just fall off each other unless you pull them apart.

It's a small magnet, strong enough to 'find' each other and stick. It's more of a symbolic thing, they won't like, hold heavy stuff or anything. They're good for connecting when you're next to each other.

Etsy gives you a lot more variety and often more unique, handmade options, but it can be hit or miss on quality depending on the shop. World Net Gifts is probably more consistent, but less 'artisan' feeling.

Custom items are usually a no-go for returns, unfortunately. Most places don't take back personalized stuff unless it's their mistake. Double check the wording before you order!
